Tzunan Temple is located in the densely populated Sheliao district, it is also called “Takung Temple” and has been the guardian of the 10 villages in Sheliao since ancient times. It was constructed after the ancestors migrated from China to Taiwan; after completion, its pilgrims increased dramatically. The “Yung Chi I Tu” stele in the temple is a 3rd class historical monument. Businessmen are able to borrow money from the temple and return it after their business becomes successful. Legend has it that whoever borrows money from the temple will flourish in his/her business endeavors.
