1. In 1737, a small temple was built on the current location of the temple. 2. Reconstruction of the temple took place in August 1973; a 4 story temple was constructed by combining northern and southern architecture. 3. After the 921 earthquake and fire, the icon was relocated to a corrugated iron shack in front of the original temple so that people could continue their worshiping. After reconstruction was complete, the icon was moved back to the temple. 4. The reconstruction is now complete; the magnificent temple building and its majestic grandeur makes Show Tian Temple a popular religious holy place for worshippers every year.
