擷取湖口老街與七O年代設計元素作為整體設計，利用紅磚廊拱、燈籠、巴洛克牌樓、電影看板、亭仔腳、用餐大埕與板凳桌椅等，並結合小吃、點心攤、雜貨舖、商店等場景，打造一個充滿寶島古早人情味的復古懷舊空間，細細品味古早風味人情，賦予旅程中一段懷舊體驗。建築外觀與內部空間，打造為懷舊場域主題性空間，用路人可以在湖口服務區感受主題式餐飲的用餐參與，細細品味古早風味人情區站服務設施 : 各式餐飲、育嬰室、行動辦公區、國道資訊補給站、ETC收費、ATM、洗手台等公共服務以及故宮精品區、OTOP台灣特色產品。

The overall design of the Hukou Service Area emerges from a fusion of the local Hukou Old Street and elements from the 1980s. The brick arcade and lanterns, Baroque-style arches, old movie advertisements, veranda, traditional dining area, tables, and stools are the results of the design. The snack food and dessert stalls, general stores, and shops combine to create warm, cheery environment that evokes memories of Taiwan’s good old days and provide visitors with an exceptional experience of Taiwan’s history and cultural heritage.

湖口老街や70年代のデザインの要素を取り入れて全体的なデザインのコンセプトとしています。赤煉瓦を使用したアーチ、提灯、バロック様式の牌楼、映画の看板、騎楼、イートインスペースに木のテーブルや椅子など、そして軽食やスイーツの出店、雑貨屋、商店などのエリアが合わさって、台湾いっぱいに詰まった人情味ある懐かしのスペースを作り出しています。懐かしさあふれる人情をじっくりと味わい、ノスタルジックな旅をお楽しみください。
