民國66年龜山島因為列為軍事管事區之故，將島上所有的居民通通遷移到這裡。於94年成立龜山島漁村文化館，呈現原住居民之歷史沿革及生活型態，館內展示傳統漁村文物、舊照片多由居民捐贈，是一座典型的社區博物館，需提前預約。
In 1977, all the residents of Turtle/Guishan Island were moved here because the island was designated as a military administration area. The Guishan Island Fishing Village Cultural Museum was established in 2005 to present the history and lifestyle of the original inhabitants. The museum displays traditional fishing village artifacts and old photos, mostly donated by residents, and is a typical community museum.
