因黑面琵鷺而聲名大噪的曾文溪口溼地，每年入冬後都會成為愛鳥人士必訪之地，黑面琵鷺約在每年9月至10月期間抵臺，一直待到翌年的3月至5月左右，這一段時期就是到七股賞黑面琵鷺的最佳時機。而多樣性的河口生態體系，除了大批的黑面琵鷺之外，每年冬天到隔年春天還有海鷗、鷺科、鷸行鳥科等水鳥，以及蟹類、紅樹林等豐富的生態景觀可欣賞。
Black-faced spoonbills arrive in Taiwan from September to October every year and stay until March to May of the following year, which is the best time to spot them in Qigu. In addition to the black-faced spoonbills, the diverse estuarine ecosystem has a rich variety of ecological scenery to enjoy from winter to spring, including gulls, egrets, sandpipers, crabs and mangroves.
