從忘憂谷的入口繼續往上走即可到達，潮境公園海螺溜滑梯旁邊也有有個步道，沿著階梯上去便是八斗子101高地。因為海拔為101公尺，所以有101高地之稱，同樣的65高地以及80高地都是這樣命名的，八斗子海濱公園三面環海，另一面則緊臨基隆山；位於和平島東側，可俯瞰八斗子海灣、遠眺基隆嶼、九份，視線所及的景色壯闊迷人，海天美景俯拾即是。
